There are 27 known cards in the set, Yonamine is one of the "key" cards along with Dick Kishiwada, Tetsuharu Kawakami and Jun Hirota. Everyone played for the Giants, which is a problem with the Kobai Caramel cards in particular - they never put players from other teams in their sets (though other makers like Kawakami Caramel did).
So its not a set I'll ever try to collect but I do like having this in my Yonamine player collection!

DeleteAre there multiple cards for players in the set? Cards for 27 individual Giants players would mean they were going pretty deep on the depth chart.
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple of Shigeru Chiba cards but otherwise no multiples. They also have a manager card of Mizuhara, but yeah it looks like pretty much anyone in a Giants uniform got included!
DeleteAwesome card. It's a shame that I can't read Japanese. If I found this sitting in a box of Japanese baseball cards, I'd have no idea this was Mr. Yonamine.

DeleteNice card. I love the vintage food and candy cards, but they are pricey.
