Shibuya had just come to the Fighters from the Carp while Oda and Junzo Uchida (#7) had come from the Swallows. #3 is new import player Garry Jestadt and #'s 50 & 54 appear to be first year players although I'm not sure of their names (I'm getting all this from a Japanese numerical roster site).

I went to an open-sen game at Seibu Dome a few years back and they had a pre-game ceremony where the Lions introduced all the new players for the team. I think it was the first game the Lions had played at home that season. So I'm guessing that this is a traditional thing for NPB teams.NPB Card Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01178497208404127283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4243926228844409495.post-2653748659312981712017-02-09T18:15:00.610-08:002017-02-09T18:15:00.610-08:00Yeah there are some Topps cards where it is really...Yeah there are some Topps cards where it is really confusing. 1971 Topps Bud Harrelson is one worth looking up!Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13681778110046124243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4243926228844409495.post-3499954502070858542017-02-09T18:14:27.908-08:002017-02-09T18:14:27.908-08:00LOL, yeah blame it on the interns!!LOL, yeah blame it on the interns!!Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13681778110046124243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4243926228844409495.post-19830048570874320112017-02-09T06:56:15.974-08:002017-02-09T06:56:15.974-08:00I feel like Topps gets closer and closer to this e...I feel like Topps gets closer and closer to this every year with their "celebration" shots on base player cards.
